Members
1) Only those who are patriotic, love Macao, and uphold the principle of “One Country, Two Systems” may join the Chamber.
2)Legal entities, associations, enterprises, and individuals who recognize the Chamber’s mission and are engaged in or supportive of halal-related industries may apply for membership, subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
3) Membership categories include Ordinary Members, Honorary Members, and Sponsoring Members.
4) Admission of members must be approved by the Board of Directors.
5) Honorary Members are nominated by the Board of Directors and granted status by resolution of the General Assembly.
6) Individuals, companies, or private organizations that have made significant contributions to the Chamber may, by resolution of the General Assembly, be invited to serve as Honorary Presidents or Honorary Chairmen, though without actual management authority.
7) Candidates for Honorary President or Honorary Chairman must be nominated by the General Assembly or the Board of Directors, and confirmed by a majority vote of members present at the General Assembly.
8) Individuals with exceptional contributions or professional qualifications may be invited by the Chamber to become Permanent Honorary Presidents or Permanent Honorary Chairmen as a form of recognition.
9) Upon nomination by the General Assembly or the Board of Directors, individuals with outstanding contributions or strong social reputation may be invited to become “Honorary Members.”
10) Applicants not meeting the above criteria but who endorse the Chamber’s mission and are recommended by an Ordinary Member may apply to become Sponsoring Members, subject to approval by the Chamber.
Membership Rights
1) Attend the Chamber’s General Assembly and other special meetings, with the right to speak, propose, and vote on Chamber affairs.
2) In accordance with the Charter, enjoy the right to vote, to be elected, and to hold positions within the Chamber’s organizational bodies.
3) Receive priority participation in international forums, industry expos, academic seminars, study tours, investment negotiations, certification training, and other activities organized or co-organized by the Chamber.
4) Access professional resources via the Chamber’s platform, including industry trends, international market insights, policies and regulations, and technical information.
5) Enjoy priority access to Chamber services such as halal certification consultancy, business matchmaking, brand promotion, information dissemination, and media publicity.
6) Provide suggestions on the Chamber’s development direction, operations, and institutional building, and participate in consultations and discussions on major decisions.
7) Receive a membership certificate and exclusive identification mark, and lawfully use membership status in business exchanges and presentations within the permitted scope.
8) Enjoy other rights granted by resolution of the Board of Directors or the General Assembly, in accordance with this Charter.
Membership Obligations
1) Abide by this Charter and the resolutions of the General Assembly.
2) Pay membership fees on time.
3) Actively participate in Chamber activities and contribute to its development.
4) Refrain from damaging the reputation or interests of the Chamber.
